Assuming you do actually have the correct version installed, use ipkg --force-depends .....

Si
C750 OZ3.5.4 (GPE, 2.6.x kernel)
SL5500 OZ3.5.4 (Opie)
Nokia 770

depends where you want to install, basically just add --force-depends to whatever you were using before:

e.g.

# ipkg install -d sd --force-depends random-named-ipk-file-here.ipk (will install to sd/mmc card)

# ipkg install --force-depends random-named-ipk-file-here.ipk (will install to root)

# ipkg install -d cf --force-depends random-named-ipk-file-here.ipk (will install to cf card)

# ipkg install -d ram --force-depends random-named-ipk-file-here.ipk (will install to ram disk, if you have one)

i recently pulled out my 5500 and dusted it off. Flashed in 3.3.6pre1 then tried to install wellenreiter from the feed  http://www.vanille.de/feed/openzaurus/armv4l-gcc3.32/ when trying to run wellenreiter from cli i get
wellenreiter: error while loading shared libraries: libpcap.so.0.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

i show lbpcap installed from that feed.
help is greatly appriciated.

Check that the file is in one of /usr/lib, /usr/local/lib or possibly /opt/QtPalmtop/lib

Also, are you sure that\'s the error message? Most of the time an app will look for the major version number, not the whole lot. If this is the case, make sure there\'s a symlink from libpcap.so.0.7 to libpcap.so.0

Wellenreiter definitly hosed nothing. It doesn\'t touch your config files at all. It may leave your card in monitor mode after stopping, when you have buggy drivers or anything. Try cardctl eject && cardctl insert to reset.
