Sd Card Not Recognized On C860, Is It Screwed?
« on: November 30, 2007, 02:40:58 pm »
I just got a used c860, and at first the sd slot would click or accept any card.  Then I futzed with it and it so it does now, but doesn't recognize any of my cards.   I've tried my 256mb card formated fat and used the sd ipk to enable 2gb cards, and those are unrecognized also.  I flashed to cacko, and it still has the same problem--the cards fit, click, but aren't seen.   I've seen the other thread about the stuck slot, but that's not the problem here.  Does you guys think the sd slot is f'd or know some other way to fix this?  I'm happy to have a zaurus again, but being limited to the cf slot is raining on that parade.
Thanks
Scott

I opened it up and took the sticky black plastic off...nothing looks burned torn, etc...  I'm using a 256mb sandisk and 2gb ata and adata, which I recall working with my c1000.  The cards weren't seen in opie either.  Am I missing something?  Wrong format?  Dirty connectors?  Should I try reflashing? Any advice, commiserations, etc. appreciated.
