I often have trouble getting my C700 to start up-- it will show the Sharp welcome window for quite awhile instead of whatever application I had open, and sometimes I need to reboot it a time or two. One it gets past that in these instances, I then get the \"set time\" screen, showing a date from (I suppose) the last date I used it, or maybe the date I let it get crushed in my bag? I frequently have to reset the time/date, but maybe it is battery-related and not some electrical short caused by my abuse (??). Once I do this and it gets \"warmed up\", it works fine and starts up immediately at the last window I had been using, etc.--as it should. Any thoughts on what is causing this? I have tried several cases, and the current one I use is by Tumi--expensive but perfect, except that it is soft leather.
