aqpkg 1.9 is crashing

i am trying to run aqpkg 1.9 on a 5500 with tkc rom 1.0 and it crashes everytime i hit \"start\".  the docs said that it works with sharp roms.  has anyone else had this problem? has anyone used aqpkg succesfuly with kompany.rom?
