Hi,

Would like some help here, I\'m a gadget freak and will either purchase a C760 or a Samsung NEXiO.

Has anyone had any experience of the NEXiO compared with the C760.

My uses will be wireless web / networking and gaming inc emulated things.

Thank you for your help

Hi,

I don\'t have experience with it, but having recently purchased C760, here\'s some thoughts.

Pros of Nexio would be the bigger TFT screen for obvious reasons and the form with detachable keyboard might be good. But then, all this for double the price and WinCE, and non-lowpower PXA250 processor (C750/760 comes with PXA255 low power edition) doesn\'t seem to buy anything more than other PocketPCs out there or C7x0. Networking and gaming on Linux vs Win is probably a matter of preference depending on your use. Nice toy though :-)

I saw these reviews here, but they are separate ones, not a comparison. sorry.

How important is a keyboard to you?? If it is and you need to thumb-type on the fly (e.g. while walking around), go with the Z

I have both.  The Nexio is better is terms of readability, speed and PIM.  The keyboard is not nearly as good as the C760 (READ:  It is horrible).  It is removable though.  The Nexio (except ofr the keyboard) is a very nicely designed PDA.  You will not be running PocketPC apps and many WinCE apps dont work because of .NET compat. issues, so realize that you will be stuck in the world of finding compat. apps.  Also, battery life sux!!!!

The C760 is smaller.  It is fast also, but Qtopia has its drawback.  The software is easier to find and there are alternative OS\'s for it.  It doesn\'t have the integrated WiFi or Bluetooth that the Nexio has, but I find the battery life to be much better even with a CF card in.  Also, it has CF and SD expansion, where the Nexio only has CF.  Screen is smaller, but its more compact design will let you carry it in your pocket.  You will be hard pressed to do that with the Nexio unless you want people to stare.

I have some Zaurii, as well as a Sigmarion III and Nexio.

If you are a WinCE person, go with the Nexio.  It is not a bad HPC.  I use my C760 more often.

How is the Z compared to the Sigmarion III? Japanese to english conversion, size, battery life...

The Sigmarion is much larger then the Zaurus, but that makes it easier to use at meetings.  Battery life is not too bad.  I can get about 3 hours of use on it.  As for the conversion, I have a WinCE image for it but DoCoMo is no help for the conversion process.  I have converted most of the applications, but the control panel is needing conversion and that will need to be placed into the ROM.  I have converted the PIMs, IE, Media Player, Messanger, etc...  App compat is a pain on this one also.

I prefer the Zaurus due to the size.
