Why do you say horrible? Not fast enough? Too fast (too hot)?

That\'s dangerously overclocked! Do not run your Zaurus at that speed or you\'ll end up frying the CPU and surrounding semiconductors.

Sysinfo? It\'s embed in Cacko\'s Customized Rom(1.20 or 1.21)
1.20 gives very high perfomance in multimedia(FastFPU Emulation)
but 1.21 can\'t. and i still using 1.20 Kernel.

in overclocked Z750/760/860, or heavily overclocked 750 can play
640*360 24fps! but I wanna play VGA Video  :?

That\'s just silly, he obviously doesn\'t care for his Z, you ain\'t gonna play VGA video without seriously mashing it up. Silly.

320x240@24fps is perfect on my 860 using mplayer, you need encode your videos better, not push your poor Z to breaking point.

Is this that nefarious act known as \"Z abuse\"?

misamo,

You know you can buy 2 handheld/portable dvd players for about the same price you probably paid for your c700 don\'t you?

Good luck with your overclocking ;(

I\'m not trying to be rude, I\'d just hate to see anybody mess their zaurus up doing something like this.

I am so sorry for my post.

But I wanna using my own Z for better perfomance.
so I\'m still trying overclocking. (Using copper-heatsink(?))
(And i never modify my Z\'s Memory and Bus Frequency)

And... I bought C700 about 30k yen. not cheap but handheld/portable
players are too expensive in here. and they are so big and heavy.

By players I assume you mean video players?

Don\'t apologise for posting! ;-)  We just don\'t want to see you wreck a beautiful piece of hardware!

The solution is to encode better, it simply is not designed to play video as you want, 320x240@24fps is doable and plays perfectly, how much clarity do you need on a 2 or 3 inch display?

You can have jaw-dropping video without the pain of dead hardware, I\'ve just watched Attack of the Clones on my Z - excellent on headphones!

I\'d like to have that CPU speed display in our sysinfo. Any idea where the source for the cacko ROM is?

AFAIK it is the opie-sysinfo, just compiled for Cxx0 and new icons added.

You can get the ipk from ZSI http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/showdetail.php?app=516, It was also in tkcRom2.5.1 and the previous 2 Cacko Roms.

opie-sysinfo doesn\'t list cpu and bus speed. This is a patched version.

Where can we get the source then, please?

I\'d like to add a mounts tab, taken from another version.

Stu

Edit - sorry, first version seemed a bit rude, when I re-read it.
