Hi,

I am 12 years old and I live in Canada. I just had my Grandma in Japan buy me a SL-C860 but it hasn\'t come yet. I was wondering if it would be a pretty good laptop kinda replacement if I wanted to word process, internet surfin (LAN Card), games, IM, and so on? Would it be good ?

Once you get used to the keyboard, it will be good for word processing.  Internet surfing using NetFront on the qtopia roms is very nice.  There are a few IM apps to choose from, including gaim.

I wouldn\'t say that it is good for games though.  That is just my opinion.  There are plenty of games out there, just none that I enjoy playing.

But you can play games from older game systems like Gameboy, Gameboy Color, SNES/SuperFamicom etc. which look good and play well on a small device and screen.  But these can be tricky to set up.
Left Linux and Linux PDAs... sorry, got boring.  Switched to Mac.
