"SL-6000 Not for the UK" - Sharp
« on: April 13, 2004, 06:10:48 pm »
Appologies if this is a bit of a cross post but I suspect that the \"UK\" can probably be substituted with \"Europe\" and perhaps \"anywhere outside of the US\".

I dropped a note to Sharp UK via the UK website and got a speedy and succinct response.

Thank you for your email.

As far as we have been able to establish from our Product Marketing teams, there are currently no plans to introduce this model of Organiser to the UK. We are sorry that we are unable to assist you more positively on this occasion.

Sad and disappointing are the words that occur to me (however the word \"surprising\" didn\'t !)

I think you mean \"outside Japan.\"  Remember, we Yanks can have the 6K in any configuration we want as long as it\'s \"L,\" and if you believe Sharp, enterprise use only, please.

My e-mail to Sharp got the identical response but with

\"New Organiser
models will be released later this year, but as yet details are not available
for release.
We are sorry that we cannot assist you more positively on this occasion.\"

I know it doesn\'t mean anything but at least it shows that they still think about us occasionally.
