Has anyone managed to get a 4G or 3G connection to Virgin in the UK?

Switch it to CARD 1 under each entry of: Mobile data, Calls, and SMS messages.

Now 4G no problem!

Thanks, but all us Americans know you Europeans have the best phone service!  Mine always improves when I go on an English or German network.  Therefore, unfortunately, we can't compare access.

Mine was already set like that…  Still says ‘3G’.   

The bands that the Gemini covers is not a direct match to the bands that AT&T covers.  You have put an EU spec phone on a US carrier.  Expect less 4G coverage than you would get with a carrier branded (all bands covered) phone.
