Ok, first a caveat...

****************************************************************
*
* DON'T install the latest update on an x27 device - you will brick your device
*
****************************************************************

Now that is out of the way, the latest update has a now functional LEDison  which I successfully installed on my x25 gemini. I have set some patterns for people in my contacts, now just waiting for them to call........anyone.....hello.....

You can set a pattern for calling number, and "in call" so you can see when the call is active with the case closed. Seems to do what it says on the tin, more info later when someone *eventually* calls me. It would be quite sad if I called myself and I would never stoop to that. Yet. Waiting......

With the recent problems, it might be wise to wait a day or two to get the real version. It might also require hooks in the kernel that would mean it doesn't work without the new kernel. The update was about 100M, and the apk is only 1.2M for LEDison, so there is a lot of other stuff involved.

It's just an app, it won't brick my device. Please?

I've been trying to find the ota to grab things like this out of it myself, but it appears no one captured it or people aren't feeling generous.  If you have the updated apk, please share it with the rest of us.  Planet computers is radio silent on that unfortunate update, and there's no telling how long we may have to wait for it.

I contacted PC, and they said that the fixed firmware update is very soon. They also said that due to differing build numbers, installing LEDison from the x25 update could conflict with the upcoming x27 update. As the update is close, it is probably not worth installing something which could break the update. PM me if you are willing to take the risk of breaking the next update, but I won't publicly post it.

Vader,

I have an X25 version and I've installed the latest firmware update but I can't seem to get Ledison to work with contacts. With a list showing the various sequences, touching the three dots top right I'm not getting the caller-id animations option.

Ledison version is 0.60.

Is there some trick to getting this working?

Thanks.

My LEDison version is 0.71 - strange. My build version is  Gemini-7.1-Planet-04062018-V1.
