The back of SL-6000
« on: April 21, 2004, 11:23:02 am »
Has anyone noticed at the back of the SL-6000, the speakerphone and Mic are placed so that you can almost use it as a phone(speaker phone on top, mic on bottom)?

I am really debating whether I should buy the expansion sleeve right now or wait to see if they will come up with new ones with maybe a GSM/GORS module? (wishful thinking)

I think I recall offroadgeek saying that the Sharp guy who first revealed the SL6000 to him stated that the mic and speaker arrangement was intentional.

In fact you could probably turn the SL6000 into a WiFi based VOIP phone right now using something like this: http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/showdetail.php?app=1915

Thanks Tumnus,

BTW, will your bluetooth package work on SL-6000? I just got it yesterday and did nothing but charge the battery.

People have had success with the Bluemonkey card, but not the Socket Rev G card.

Also the Ambiconm Bluetooth card works in the 6000.  The old one with the rounded black top.
