According to this page: http://www.myzaurus.com/ROMupdate6.asp

For updating the 5600 to 1.32 it says:
\" This Zaurus OS and PC Software update can only be applied to the SL-5600 with ROM version 1.00. To check your Zaurus ROM version number, go into the â€œSettings tabâ€ on your Zaurus and click on the â€œSystem Infoâ€ icon. Open the â€œVersionâ€ tab and scroll down to the bottom of the screen for the version number.\"

If I look at mine, the Rom version is 1.21

Can I not update with Sharp ROMS? If so, where is one I can use?

yes it works. I had the same rom and updated to 1.32. The way I updated was the compact flash card way. I don\'t know if updating by usb would work though, isn\'t that what it is talking about?

Anyway, if you just put the update files on a cf or sd card and flash it, it will update fine.

I don\'t have direct experience with such an upgrade. But a previous post indicated it would be OK.
