5600 1.32 Update Question...
« on: April 21, 2004, 08:30:26 pm »
According to this page:  http://www.myzaurus.com/ROMupdate6.asp

For updating the 5600 to 1.32 it says:
\" This Zaurus OS and PC Software update can only be applied to the SL-5600 with ROM version 1.00. To check your Zaurus ROM version number, go into the “Settings tab” on your Zaurus and click on the “System Info” icon. Open the “Version” tab and scroll down to the bottom of the screen for the version number.\"

If I look at mine, the Rom version is 1.21

Can I not update with Sharp ROMS?  If so, where is one I can use?

Thanks!

yes it works.  I had the same rom and updated to 1.32.  The way I updated was the compact flash card way.  I don\'t know if updating by usb would work though, isn\'t that what it is talking about?

Anyway, if you just put the update files on a cf or sd card and flash it, it will update fine.

Jed,

I don\'t have direct experience with such an upgrade.  But a previous post indicated it would be OK.
