Review of cases and accessories for the C7xx
« on: April 22, 2004, 06:04:25 pm »
Hi folks,
I finally got around to writing a review of accessories and cases for the Z! We review cases from Extreme Limit, PDair and Xigma. These cases are for the C760/C860 but they also make versions for the slimmer C700/C750.

Also covered are the sync and charge cable, world travel charger and 3-in-1 stylus from Brando for the C7xx series.

A review of the IO Data XGA presentation card is forthcoming.

The top one does look nice but I\'m not too keen about wrapping my Z in leather, I wish there was an aluminium case like I saw for Clie\'s. Nice to see some info about the sync & charge cable.
Left Linux and Linux PDAs... sorry, got boring.  Switched to Mac.

Now that\'s a bit more like it, seems a bit makeshift for 760/860 users and no headphone access.

The Chairman\'s case on Expansys is made by Piel Frama. It looks really nice-- we\'ll have to get one for review

The Chairman\'s case does look good. I\'d like to see one in real life. I would also love to see a Vaja case, but for such a small market it probably won\'t happen.

I\'ve been using the PDair case for a couple of weeks and it is working out well. It was actually the only one in Lisa\'s review that seemed to be available in the US. I notice that the Extream case is now in stock as well.

The only problem, as she pointed out, is that there is not a thumb cutout for removing the CF card. Other than that, it\'s a high quality case at a very good price.

I just ordered a case from Xigma, which looks like a different design in the review, more like the Extreme Body Suit (which is seemingly sold out) and a bit less expensive:
