PocketMac sync software for OS X?

It seems that PocketMac have been working on something for Z<->Mac sync.  Perhaps they can be lobbied to resume the cause?

We actually had such a product under development, but when we got close, Sharp announced they were slowly fazing out the Zaurus line... have you heard differently?

This is interesting news!  

Haved used PocketMac with my Toshiba e805 and works great!
(Don\'t worry, I like my C860 MUCH better!...)

Will let PocketMac folks know that that I\'m very interested in a version of PocketMac for the Z!

I\'ll email them as well to show interest.  Since we didn\'t get much out of our emails with \"The Missing Sync\" guys, it can\'t hurt.  Nice work Mark.

Well, here is more followup from PacketMac.  It seems they\'re keen to do a port for OS X if they had more info from Sharp re the Zaurus.  Anyone know a contact at Sharp Japan (or USA) who they could ping?

Hi,

That was Sharp USA, I believe. (It\'s been some months, though, so I may be mistaken.) We did have contact sync working with the 5000 series when they informed us of their \"plans\".

If you have contacts **anywhere** within Sharp who can set us straight, I\'m sure we\'d be willing to re-open this.

Below is the response I got from PocketMac regarding Z support....

So if anyone has any contacts at Sharp for them, please let them know.

Also, wouldn\'t hurt if to let them know if you\'re interested in a PocketMac for Zaurus app.

Yes, we\'re aware of the Zaurus 5000-series devices, and we were actually about 60-75% through a project to support them on the Mac, when Sharp told us they were basically relegating the Zaurus line to corporate-only sales and that it would probably be fazed out.

Naturally, we put stuff on hold.

However, if you are seeing/hearing something different from Sharp, or if you know people there who can set us straight, I\'d surely love to know that.
