I have a Socket 56K CF MODEM and it worked until I upgraded to the ROM v1.2X series.  Not sure what changed but the MODEM is not recognized anymore and I tried it on a laptop to make sure it was not burned out.  Now my MODEM doesn\'t work in BOTH ROMS, Qtopia v1.2X and pdaXrom v1.05 where it never worked (unrecognized)...  anyway, the ROMs are works in progress and both have come along way!

yeah -- I was thinking about downgrading but ... I guess I downloaded a bad rom from here -- probably didn\'t get the whole thing or something.  Thanks!

I have a socket 56K CF, and it worked automagically just after pluging it in in my c750+sharp rom. No problems at all, and works very well.
sl-c750, archos av580, socket cf [bt, wifi, modem], noname cf lan, audiovox rtm800 gsm-gprs cf, rom: sharp -> oz3.5.3 -> cacko -> oz3.5.4.1

lol ... well ... I screwed up .......  It turns out .. I had the card in backwards .......  that explains well a lot!  I figured it was like my CF card ... it would only go in one way...   but alas no.  Problem solved it works great!
