Dancing Tux
« on: April 25, 2004, 07:02:24 am »
A dancing tux would be good, I know there are applets on desktop systems.

I\'d like love to see Tux gettin\' jiggy on my Z, or a BBC 3 blob man (for those in UK with digital TV) farting and burping.

I remember in GNOME I used to have a Homer who shouted, burped and yelled periodically, that would be even better.

This would be a killer app ( ;-) LOL! )

I see nobody seemed too interested in your suggestion...except the Doc... :]

I just whipped the trolltech QMovie example together with an animated GIF and used a wav file in a call to QSound and created a little tux night fever...but it isn\'t really exactly what you wanted, you have to click the icon to make it go...

P.S. offroadgeek read pm...put this on the feed plz.

I made a mistake in uploading the .ipk.  I have re-uploaded it. If you have already installed it, uninstall it and donwload the new one and re-install it.  It fixes a bug in cleanup which leaves the sound process running.  Sorry.

I wonder if it\'s possible to make a program similar to Dancing Tux, that BIG Tuxlon (good name) with the voom-voom, voom-voom as the eye goes across. The ultimate app?

Or how about \"voom-voom,voom-voom (that\'s the eye thing) BY YOUR COMMAND... voom-voom\" etc.?

:-)

Your little tuxs are cracking me up!

Thanks for all the apps you\'ve made. I don\'t use the ZGScore but I use the ZLapSpeed every weekend.
