well I never need (until at least and hope not too soon...) to try such change, but if this may help, I have 2 JPEGS of a Z5500 dissasembled that I copy from somewhere that had some info about dissasembling a Z5500 (now I cant remenber where...)  well, if that helps, may be usefull to study the pictures before put the hands inside your Z....  anyway, If you think that could help, let me know how to send it, or if somebody else could say me how to upload the jpgs to someplace here in the ZUG site where could be available for all the friends...

Best Regards & have a nice day!

dmesg keeps reporting that mine is discharged.

Does on mine too (with OZ3.3.6pre1). Take a look at your kernel code, it looks like the backup battery checking in OZ is disabled so this message just turns up by default. It may be the same for you.

I am interested in seeing the jpegs of the opened Z but as other people have seen the battery warning as well, I probably won\'t dismantle mine until it stops working completely.
I think it is possible to add attachments to post replies this would probably be a good place to put the jpegs.

Well, this going not too well....  I tried 6 TIMES to attach the file to a messague (am my connection is a sadly 56k dialup modem and the file is 1.15mb...) and Nothing....  the sytem finish the upload (the six times do it and one for a try to preview....     ), but some dont work well with the messague server because didnt  said anything more and I tried all the options that are reasonable to try,in order to send a post  with an attachment...  wel  IMHO, something is not well configured on the messague server attachment part... by now I hope that the upload on the cool stuff area could be made availableby the system administrator  (I dont think that a couple of Z5500 are necesary \"cool\" but  I didnt found a suitable place with a more humble name   and I would like that  the the pictures be at  a place that  have a more permanent  availability...

well,by now, I surrender, and my work waits on my desk, so, I coul try to do another upload If I got some help in order that the uploads option could work well....

Best regards and have a nice day!

Hey zbones, EXCELENT SITE!...

Great pictures and very usefull info...  by the way the LAST 2 pictures on your site are the same that I have, and as I see, as same as me, no clues about the picture origin of this last 2 pics, well but the thing that matters is that the page is very fine....

However, as a note to the registry, I would like to point that the upload part of the post reply service, still doesnt appears to work fine, so, if it could be checked, that would be in good for all the users.

best regards & thanks for the good info!

It\'s not my site,
I found it about a year ago and bookmarked it.
I think it may be worth archiving in case the owner drops it as he/she may not even have a Z anymore.
