Telephony headset/microphone for SL5500 - Does it exist?
« on: May 02, 2004, 10:55:05 am »
Hi I\'m wondering if anybody knows of telephony headsets that can be used with the SL5500? I\'ve been searching the net for a few hours and can\'t seem to find anything about a combined headphone and microphone device with a single 3.5mm jack plug for the SL5500. Does such a beast even exist?

I\'m also curious as to whether a 3-pole jack plug would provide such functionality, i.e. what are the specifics of the headphone/microphone socket on the SL5500?

Any/all input would be appreciated, thanks

Just go to radio shack and buy an adapter that that allows you to use cell phone headsets.

Thanks Karapta,

I\'ve also, since discovered that a standard pair of in-the-ear phones will work equally as well, using the left earplug as a microphone!

I guess my confusion began when realising that most telephony headsets, I\'ve seen for PC\'s come with two separate plugs (one for phones and one for mic)
