The older 2.x ROMs which a SL-5500 may still come with has Opera 5, which is an OK browser that supports SSL connections and can scale pages for the small screen, but that\'s about it.

The latest 3.X ROMs has Opera 6, which is by far the best web browser on any PDA. Opera 6 has:
- Desktop Opera rendering engine (Renders pages just about as good as Opera on the desktop)
- SSL Support (SSL v2 & v3 & TLS 1.0)
- Page scaling (20% to 400%)
- Small screen rendering (the page is reformatted so it all fits on the screen width meaning you do not have to scroll left and right)
- Multiple windows (open multiple pages in one instance and easily switch between them)
- Bookmarks with folders
- Basic navigation history (Forward and back, etc)
- Full screen viewing
- Javascript support
- PDF plugin
- Rotation support (So pages can be viewed in landscape orientation)
- Option to use stylus to either scroll page or select text
- Ability to turn image downloading off
- Popup blocking (and support)
- Frame support
- Mime type support (to open files from web links using a specified application on the Zaurus)
- Page searching
- Proxy support through the Zaurus network settings

Opera 5 in the 2.x ROMs has some of these features, but you definitely want to get Opera 6 from the 3.x ROMs.
