Of course ftp does´nt function on Zaurus 5500 with the 3.13 ROM, I would like the help of someone for sincronizing with the KOPI on windows.
The only form to do it, for now... is to get the mybackup.ics that appears clearly in the CF card, and via the Zaurus file transfer,  drag and drop it to the Korganizer folder, then I can sync via file..load calendar backup.
I think this is not a smart manner of making things.
I saw in the How to section that the communication with windows is via samba...but i\'m lost.
Any help please.Tia

I\'m running the latest tkcROM along with the latest KO/PI offering.  Syncing is a two step process.  I first sync Windows to the Sharp PIM database by using Intellisync as if I didn\'t even have KO/PI.  I then sync KO/PI with the Sharp DTM database using the synchronization menu item in KO/PI.

I\'ve had nary a doubled up entry, etc. and I do modify items in both directions.  The additional step of syncing KO/PI with the Sharp DTM data takes all of about 8 seconds and has worked flawlessly.

Not sure if this helps you or not keep trying as KO/PI is a far better application then the standard Sharp PIM stuff...just make sure you have the latest KO/PI release running on your Zaurus (should be 1.7.x).

And it\'s worth doing because KO/PI is just a fantastic application. I\'m looking forward to the address book version as well.

Anyone been able to get Ko/Pi to import *.vcs calendar files?
It locks up when I try to import a ~450k vcs calendar which I created
via Outpod from Outlook, causing a necessary reboot.

I\'d really like to get Ko/Pi functioning this way, or god forbid I\'d actually
get Intellistink to export from Outlook to my Z...

Have you tried the Windows version of KO/Pi?? I\'ve had no problems with that version importing .vcs files (though not from Outlook nor Outpod) - and you could then sync that directly with KO/Pi on your Zaurus (giving you a nice desktop version too)

How are you creating the *.ics or *.vcs files from Outlook?  Maybe that is my problem.  I still can\'t get Intellistink to download calendar to the Z - if I could just do that, the could import into KO-Pi.

I\'m not - my vcs files are coming from another PDA platform.

My reason for suggesting the Windows version of KO/Pi is that if it fails to import, it\'s not going to cause you to reboot - once you have got them into the KO/Pi format, you can simply sync between the Windows and the Zaurus versions of KO/Pi.

Thankyou captain-emo and others, but I think that we must go in the line of ssh-scp. KOPI has a how to do docu writed by Detlev Reymann about \" secure connections between GNU/Linux-and Windows-computers using ssh-with special consideration of the Sharp Zaurus. I confess that for me that beguins in Linux and ssh it is being a little difficult. But with a little more time we´ll arrive there. Who knows if zautrix don´t help....Thanks to everybody again.
