Slashdot provides both a rdf and xml feed of their headlines:
http://slashdot.org/slashdot.rdf
http://slashdot.org/slashdot.xml

Would anyone be able to write a app to simply display these?

Also there would be a update button to update them nice and easily

Each would be clickable which would then open Opera pointing towards the URL of the story

If this can be done, the next step would be caching the site so you can view the stories offline, but thats another app in itself. so a basic viewer would be appreciated, thanks!!!!

My Zepo program already has Slashdot in its RSS library, and do pages caching too, and use Opera to browse or use integrated text browser, and many other features...

I always thought zepo was a great app, for my 5500.  It doesn\'t view right on my 760, and I wrote you (the author) several months ago asking if it would be modified to work with the C series, and I think you said no.  Has that changed?

I understand that pdaXrom can include Firebird. There is an extension called Slashzilla that does what you are talking about. After dealing with Opera\'s licensing and upgrade policy, I switched to Mozilla and then to Firebird. Worth a try. It is easy to uninstall if you don\'t like it.
