I\'ve tried everything. I can get a network up running every damned protocol there is from SAMBA to ssh, by both wireless and over the USB cradle (and I could get it working with smoke signals, if I had enough time.) But I can\'t get the stupid thing to sync to save my life. I\'ve even verified that that there\'s an FTP listening on port 4242, which I understand is the sync agent on the Zaurus.
This is just nuts. I loaded OpenZaurus because I was tired of the stupid RAM drive erasing itself every time the power drained. Now I\'m regretting it, even though there\'s a bunch of cool stuff available.
I do NOT have the original CD to the 5500, but I do have the big update that I got from Sharp.
Will someone that\'s got it working PLEASE tell me exactly what configuration, including version numbers of the software, will work (and it would be nice to know where to get the files if I have to download something). Even once is enough to get my contacts out of outlook into the zaurus. After that, I can manage with backups.
Please help before I jump off a bridge. I know Im not that stupid, so I must be crazy.
