Nice, but I'd like to be able to install it without getting dead pixels, it's a major problem for me.  It doesn't happen with OZ or Qtopia only pdaXrom.

The new pdaXrom looks very good, I'm glad the hwclock has been looked at.  The C series is pretty impotent as a timekeeping device, but more so with pdaXrom 1.0.5.

Keep up the good work!

No, there has been another thread discussing this, and I am not the only one affected there seems to be some problem but it looks like dead pixels, they stay there all the time looking and acting like dead pixels, but.. upon flashing to a QT ROM they go, no sign of them from the console or GUI. If I put pdaXrom back, the dead pixels come back, but not always in the same place and they stay until the ROM comes off. These could be a hardware fault but I'm curious that it does not manifest itself under OZ or Qtopia, however I'm going off topic.

But I'll keep an eye on pdaXrom, it is good and I managed to compile my own calculator which was cool.  These new features are all welcome

The way we got the audio remote control working depended on the main window of XMMS maintaining focus while in use, would this be affected by the new backlight control for music playback?

That progress report is looking very promising Laze

I see no mention of which kernel you're bundling with this release? Are you going to update it from 1.0.5 - which seems to have very little in the way of BT support? (2.4.18 with no -mh patches)
SL-C860/pdaXrom 1.1.0rc1
Socket Rev.G Bluetooth, Origo/Senao CF WiFi

I'm a bit confused - you indicate a recent progress report, yet the rom version available for download is still 1.0.5

I downloaded 1.0.5 a while back.  Has it been updated without a version number change?

Dunno, I've been waving incense and chanting all day and still no sign of it

I've told myself I'll be able to grab it one month from now...

There will be some improved features and support for wirless and a brand new config util for coniguring the tools.

Unfortnaly we currently only have one wireless card for testing. So if you feel like donating hardware or money feel free - so we can try it and make support for it.

We are currently discussing on making a "bounty" or pay for what you wan't next/fixed. ;-)
