Need a copy of ipkg-new
« on: December 09, 2003, 01:25:11 pm »
All sources of ipkg-new that I\'ve found are either down or seem to require ipkg-new to install.

If somebody will email it to kbranch38 (at) hotmail (dot) com I\'ll host it.  ... that is if I can remember my login for my hosting.
Open source RTS.  It's still in the very early stages, so testers are quite welcome.

From another thread

Quote
1: go to
http://ipkgfind.handhelds.org/details.p ... l=&format=
As you can tell there is a new version. Great, but how are we going to install it without ipkg working. Step two solves that...
2: Download the BINARYS You will see something like this on the page -
Files:
./usr/bin/ipkg
./usr/bin/update-alternatives

Download ipkg, and update-alternatives and copy them to /usr/bin.
3: It works now, enjoy.

NOTE: I don\'t know if this will fix the GUI install (I didn\'t check) but now you can install via the command line... thats good enough for me....

Thank you for your time,
Arrummzen

Thanks, I must have missed that in my search of these boards.

Ok, I got it installed and it seems to work for the old ipks.  When I try to install an ipk that\'s in the new format, it tells me I have 0 free blocks on filesystem /.  Anybody have any ideas?
