GIMP on QT with X/Qt
« on: July 08, 2004, 11:20:39 am »
Hi!

I've been searching the forums with no luck.

I have X/Qt installed and working(I can run xeyes, xter etc.)

I have downloaded and installed from the pdaXrom feeds:

GIMP_1.2.5
GLIB_1.2.10-1
GTK_1.2.10
LIBGIMP_1.2.5

But when in X/QT, in an xterm, I then type "gimp" and enter, then get the following error:

"gimp: error while loading shared libraries: libgcc_s.so.1: cannot load shared object file: No such file or directory.

I can't find any "libgcc" packages on the pdaxrom site or killfiz.de.

Can anybody give me a pointer please?

THANKS!!
C860 on Default Sharp ROM(to change soon!)

sure, easy as pie...

but i heard that gimp works on x/qt with no adjustments...

to find all the libs that you will want, get the tarball of the pdaxrom dualbooting sd tar.

extract, then copy / symlink all the ones you need and you're away (copy to /usr/lib)
Gorgeous C860, 256 Sandisk SD, 1Gig Pretec 40x CF, PDAIR leather case & the really cool retractable iPDA USB sync/charge cable. Powered by PDAXROM BETA 1.

My wish - to have a Command & Conquer style game on my Z! (FREECNC!!!) Simcity 2000 would also be great.

Just so you know Balrog, and anyone else that has Xqt issues, there's an Xqt discussion group now, under the "Everything Development" section.
