KPhone VOIP SIP client
« on: July 11, 2004, 07:03:46 pm »
Hi ,

I compiled KPhone for the Zaurus.

KPhone is a VOIP SIP client.

here is the ipk:

http://www.pi-sync.net/qt3feed/KPhone4Qt3_4.0.3z_arm.ipk

KPhone is Qt3 based, the Qt3 lib is needed. You will find it at:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.p...ckage_id=116028

And you need the libssl/libcrypto 0.9.7 (from somewhere).

Hint:
If you have installed the latest  kopiemail package  from the KDE-Pim/Pi, you have already the libssl/libcrypto 0.9.7 installed.

Another Hint:
Maybe some dialogs are too big for the 5500 Screen.

Have fun,

z.

Giving it a try now. What's a good wintel SIP client to try and call? I only have the USB link cable so far.

I just had a quick look on zautrix's web site but can't seem to find the KPhone binary any more.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Cheers,

Hi Lardman,
I recompiled zautrix kphone with gcc3.3.2, so it could be perfomant running on oz 3.3.6-pre1.
Feel free to download.
I am not sure if the libkdemicrolibs are required for kphone or just for kopi/kapi

Here are the files:

Hrw added all the stuff to oe, if you want to have look at.
Cheers,

Does anyone have this working on a 5500?

I'm able to register with my free world dialup account but I dont hear any sound.
Which version are you using?

This version is working on the Z 5500:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.p...ckage_id=125452

Note, that this version does not need any Qt3 lib anymore, yust install it on the Z and use it.

Please read Help - Audio settings how to configure Audio for the Z 5500.

Have fun,

z.

Yeah I noticed the help option just minutes after I posted my first message.

I now have audio working howver the app crashes every few minutes.

I ran it from the console and got:

~DspOutRtp::MaxBufferSize: 16384
SipClient: STUN request
SipClient: STUN request
res_search: NO result !
res_search: NO result !
MessageSocket::setHostname(): gethostbyname() failed: No such file or directory

as the last couple lines before it crashed.

Found the problem.

A bad entry in the address book for the program caused it to keep crashing.
