It's a scam. weeks on a AA battery, YAWN....
Well, a single AA and a GByte Flash is not compatible at all...
Not without a DC to DC converter at least
What's the bare minimum these days? 2.3 volts?
But on weeks of Battery: My HP15C calculator is now 18 years old and I have replaced the batteries only once or twice (I don't even remember when).
Love my 15C, and it stills works perfectly. I also have a 16C and a 22.
The Newton did also have several weeks of standby - and approx. 24h of operation (was at least written in some FAQ I have googled: http://newted.dyndns.org/soupbox/batteryfa...x.html#Anchor-8 ).
Seems to me that my MP2K would last about two weeks whether I used it or not. My partner (finally) retired his old Palm which would get two weeks easy (he had a spreadsheet of which batteries lasted the longest).
It is all a matter of using CMOS and low clock frequency - and the single AA might be a LiION with 2.5Ah - but they don't tell.
