5600 3.3.6-pre1 logout problems
« on: July 24, 2004, 03:54:52 pm »
I'm a full freakin newbie so please bear with me here. I flashed my SL-5600 with OpenZaurus 3.3.6-pre 1
and everything is sweet as pie, barring several small issues that I hope someone can help me a bit with:

1. I can't seem to log out. When  I select 'Logout' from the Opie launcher, either nothing happens, or it just hangs.

2. The task bar at the bottom of the screen is often replaced with a few lines of console text, as if that portion of the gui has suddenly dissapeared.

Any light that can be brought to bear on this would be greatly appreciated

No idea. Why do you want to?

You need to echo something somewhere. Try a search for something like "echo AND 5600 AND kernel" (as in kernel messages) - this has been detailed before.

You're right. I threw down: #echo 1 > /proc/sys/kernel/printk  and that did the trick. She's purring like a kitty now.
