Display problems with Cacko 1.21
« on: July 26, 2004, 01:14:27 am »
I just flashed my c860 to Cacko 1.21 and Hotfix B, and I'm getting "ghosting" below the text and banding on the screen.  This is pretty noticeable on the main menus with the icons, and the banding is really noticeable with the image viewer when displaying photos.  I saw a post about this in an old thread, but no solution.  Anyone having this problem, and is there a fix?
Otherwise, I'm going to have to go back to the stock ROM...

Take a look at this thread.

Search for ghost on the first page.

There is a command you need to run which adjust the screen and fixes the problem.

You can also add it to startup scripts so that it is run every time you reboot.

Thanks, Zuber.  I also got a PM from Maslovsky with this.
From konsole, you have to run these commands:

su
echo 75 > /proc/driver/w100/fastsysclk

Now, how do I add it to the  /opt/QtPalmtop/qpe.sh script?
Of course I have to log in as root to edit the qpe.sh file,
then do I just place the "echo...." command anywhere
within the file, and does it need to be preceded with a "#" ?
I'm a Linux newbie..
