I agree with you dh, there is nothing wrong with a group of programmers coming together behind the facade of a company to sell their programs, tkcVideo and tkcPlayer were very good on the 5500. But unless you've had a negative experience like we've had with them, you won't know what we mean (if you know what I mean ). But when the 'president' of the company writes with his foot in his mouth over and over, you can't help wondering if something is afoot and it's a big turnoff when thinking about buying more. Anyway, wanting five thousand spondoolies to support their own stuff is reprehensible, as is demanding re-purchases to use the apps you've already bought on a new machine. Not too dissimilar to the practices and ethics of that Redmond based company you mentioned. I think it's a shame as the Z needs companies like them, but also needs support and some ethics beyond mere money grabbing.
