Netgear Wifi card doesn't work after kernel patch
« on: July 29, 2004, 12:26:34 pm »
Hi,

Yesterday I applied the kernel patch found here http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php...download&sid=38 ://http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modu...ownload&sid=38 ://http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modu...ownload&sid=38 ://http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modu...ownload&sid=38 ://http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modu...ownload&sid=38 ://http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modu...ownload&sid=38 on my 3.13 sharp rom (SL-5500). (Is this the latest available patch?)

After this patch, I restored my previous backup,  everything goes fine except my wireless connection. I cannot connect to my wireless router anymore. Could anyone of you give some suggestions?

I have a Netgear MA701 card. I tried cardctl status, it identifies the card fine. When I issue 'cardctl resume', the light blinks for few times and then goes off, then I check 'cardctl staus', it says 'card suspended'.

When I connect using 'globe' icon in the taskbar, it says 'initializing' and the light keeps blinking for sometime, then 'initializing' turns in to 'network offline'.

This must have been discussed already, I'm searching the forums, but couldn't find anything related to this. Any link would be of great help!

Help please!

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Sen

Never mind people.

It was my router. I found this in the afternoon, my wireless card connects to my neighbour's router. So, nothing to do with my zaurus. I'll fix my router.
