Is there a listing of the apps and utilities that come with the Cacko ROM and how well they currently function?

They work great.

Hancom Word, Excel, video player, music player, lovely applets for setting stuff, + more.
Gorgeous C860, 256 Sandisk SD, 1Gig Pretec 40x CF, PDAIR leather case & the really cool retractable iPDA USB sync/charge cable. Powered by PDAXROM BETA 1.

My wish - to have a Command & Conquer style game on my Z! (FREECNC!!!) Simcity 2000 would also be great.

Well it does sync if that's what you are asking.

Use the same sync software as for the SL-C860 stock ROM.

You don't lose anything by using this ROM unless you wanted the Japanese bits still, you do however get a lot of additions that you would have to trawl around for ages to find if you are a newbie + it looks a helluva lot nicer than the stock ROM.

Trust me, I'm not normally one for eye candy but this is much prettier than the stock ROM (and more readable... great fonts).

So, is there a list somewhere of these additions.  For example, is Opera included in this ROM?  Kismet?  As a newbie, it's very confusing when you click on any link to http://www.cacko.biz and find that link high-jacked for a different OS called pdaXrom, I'm just looking for a good description of what's included in the Cacko ROM, known issues, etc.

Thanks.

The cacko.biz site is no longer hosting the Cacko ROM, that's just for pdaxrom now.

Check out the pinned thread at the top of this forum for the feature set including apps. And yes Opera is included.

iamasmith, thanks for the quick reply.  Yes, I've spend the last few hours reading through all the various threads, including the pinned ones on Cacko and the hotfix.  However, I still can't find a list of the included apps, apart from what's been added in the latest version.  So yes, Opera 7 is included, as is a brightness applet, OGG codec, etc.  But what is actually in the ROM over and above the standard Sharp ROM.  Is there a wireless configuration applet, console, global search, any games, Kismet, etc.  I'm coming from being an SL-5500 user, and having been through various ROM versions on my SL-5500, I'm keen to know what's included before I install something.

I think the first thing I'll do when I get my C750 (currently in the post to me) is document everything that's in Cacko, but I'm suprised someone hasn't already done that, with screenshots, etc.

Just installed Cacko ROM so I was able to list all the standard applications, don't think there is a list posted anywhere.

Okay, for anyone interested, I've added screenshots showing the various applications and applets in Cacko - http://homegray.tripod.com/slc750.htm
