When I suspend using the power button on the back of my C860, all seems to be well, but when I try to return from suspend, it brings up the screen again for about 1 second, then goes back to suspend!  After trying this a couple of times, I forced something to 'interrupt' the re-suspend process by inserting my cf wifi card as soon as I brought it back from suspend.  This worked, once.  However, now It's gone into suspend and will not come back no matter what I do.
Don't do it that way. I have a 750 and the same thing happend to me.

Suspend with the Suspend command in the Start Menu in X.

Resume with the ADDRESS button.

Works fine that way.
I have the same issue, but I haven't got a clue when does it occur exactly, so if you played with it a bit, post a bugreport please.

I gave the pdaXrom 1.1.0 RC2 install a go but it didn't appear to work so I decided to go back to Cacko 1.2.1b.  However although Cacko installed OK it had ghosting that wasn't there before and most of the applications didn't start (hour glass then nothing).

So I went back to my full NAND backup of the original Sharp ROM shirtpocket sent me.  This appeared to work fine so I followed up with another go at installing Cacko.  The same symptoms appeared following the install.  So I'm currently back with the NAND backup image which is working OK.

So does anyone know what permanent settings does the 1.1.0 installer change outside the 128Mb flash on my C860?

...  So I went back to my full NAND backup ...

I also have an 860 and I've tried RC2 (which worked but I'm waiting for the final release) and then gone back to a NAND backup of tkc - everything worked fine after the nand restore.

Did you change the root partition size when you went to RC2?  I am pretty sure that a nand restore will work even after a partition resize. So this probably doesn't matter.

I'd try the NAND restore again.  It should work.  If not, I don't know what else to do.

The NAND restore appears to work OK, the problems come after installing Cacko onto the restored system.  This makes me think that something outside the flash store has been altered by the pdaXrom, anyone know what that could be?

After NAND restore, you still need to repartition your flash to be able to install Calko.

btw, I don't understand all post about flash issue and 40Mo partition size. I used the pdaXrom tools and now use a 100Mo / partition.

Has anyone else noticed any problems with a flickering screen.  I have a C700 that otherwise seems to work pretty good with 1.1.0RC2, but the flickering screen is driving me nuts.  Interestingly enough, in portrait mode everything is rock solid, but rotate back to landscape and just looks a bit jittery.

Anyone else seeing this?

Does it occur when returning from a suspend?

I get it sometimes when I return from a suspend using the on/off button on the back. I've gotten in the habit of turning it on after a suspend with the Home button. It doesn't flicker that way.

I got 4 or so flashes if I touched the screen to bring the backlight/entire screen back on (before the unit had suspended).

a few newbie questions:

- Is the right Shift key disabled in this release? (it looses its function when I start X)
- How do I get "Caps. Lock" function? (Fn + Tab doesn't work)
- How do I get "Del" function? (Fn + Backspace doesn't work)

thanks!!!

The right hand shift key not working is in the bug list for the new release, so, hopefully, will get fixed (as I expect it's trivial).  Delete and caps lock don't work on 1.0.5 either - seems a significant omission as they are both printed on the keyboard.  I've asked about keys here: https://www.oesf.org/forums/inde...?showtopic=6525

I would just like to note that my screen flickers alot too and its hard to look at it, but when rotated it does not flicker. WHen it goes to sleep and i bring it back via home button it still flickers. If anyone has any idea on how to make the flickering stop please let me know. Thanks.

Just Awesome!

Thanks to the pdaXrom team for the work they have done on this. I installed it on C860 without problem and so far it hasn't missed a beat. My Z now feels like a real palmtop computer. pdaXrom has come a long way since 1.0.5!

As soon as I can afford to, I will be making a PayPal donation

i've seen a few posts about sd card , and not being able to see it . i've noticed this to.
but only after rom has been installed . i've found that if you switch off remove card and power on . then power off put in sd card ,power on the card is there.once i had to remove battery  and then it saw sd card.
i've also tryed the ashly fix for expanding the rom to one size .
this didn't work well for me i couldn't load any rom and it was a pain to to get it back .
the ashly fix may work for others. just want to worn any new zaurus users.

Anyone know what Pointer_EnableKeys does in the corgi.xmodmap? I got tired not having the right shift key so I've commented out the key assignment for right-shift which was "Pointer_EnableKeys" I haven't noticed any problems and best of all my right shift works again.

Cheers,
Jerry

Pointer_EnableKeys with xkb extension  allows to control the mouse pointer from the keyboard,
as it is not enable by default it does nothing.

It should be remove from xmodmap
