How to install Opie_remote/lirc?

Hi,

I'm thinking of using opie-remote to control my Canon S1 IS. But found lirc can't be correctly installed and opie-remote won't install at all. Any help please? Thanks!

Ok the idea is cool  I have also a Canon S1 IS ... I was thinking of using pdaxrom ... I will start looking for remote control utilities for it ... problem is, with any rom and remote software, to train it !!

I mean, you also need someone with a CANON S1 IS compatible remote control to make your software learn it ! You have ? If so, then you can upload in here the configuration file ! So anyone with an S1 IS, your software, and a Zaurus, can make the system work

Yes. Some guy has reported sucess with Palm/OmniRemote/S1 IS. Besides the software, you need the right RC codes for WL-DC100. And you can find it at http://www.remotecentral.com
