I ordered my C860 for $552 (all inclusive). Should have it next week (or hopefully before). $200 - 300 cheaper than dynamism.com, but of course, you have to pay your own shipping when it breaks and needs repair, which is covered by Dynamism. Still -- worth the savings to me. Also got a 1GB Kingmax SD card for about $90, free 2nd day UPS from zipzoomfly, although I've seen cheaper prices posted before.

Ordered a SL-C860 too last night from PriceJapan, shipping to AU for AU$784; still yet to hear back from them until my payment goes through.  Getting some accessories for it from conics.net; both seemed to have good feedback from searching on these forums.

Fingers crossed I get it next week.  Ignoring the geek factor, I need a PDA at the moment badly to organise myself :-)

What do people think the resell value of the units will be like in 6-12 months (esp. considering they're not sold in AU)?  It'd be nice to keep updating to later units and only losing a couple of hundred bucks in the process.

I'm in Australia and got through pricejapan. Ordered it friday, got it tuesday.

Check ebay for what the C760's went for to get an idea for resell maybe? If a clamshell came out with Wifi I'd changeover in a second (the CF wireless card just spoils the look ;-).

Good luck. I'm STILL using my Palm for organizing myself as I'm yet to get an environment that I'm totally happy with on the C860 (Plus of course I keep flashing between OpenZaurus and pdaXrom... so hard to decide, though I think I'm definately leaning towards an X environment). Actually carrying around both a palm and a C860 is really tiring (In two pockets)... pulls down on my neck. I'm definately going to look at getting a belt pouch for the C860.

If you put on OZ, don't be disapointed by the following: -
  - The date will reset to 1970 on each restart. I'm fairly certain this is fixable, and next time I flash on OZ I'm going to play around with slutils.ipk, otherwise I'll just write a script that stores the date on halt, and restores on boot (how often do you really need to boot anyway).

I'm in Australia too.  Ordered Friday, had it Tuesday; quite impressed.  Kaneda answers emails promptly, which is great - he also put a lower amount on the invoice so I wouldn't have any problems with customs.  Still waiting on a real amount invoice, though, but I trust he'll send one soon.

Customs here f*cking suck though; not only did they rip open the case to 'inspect' the goods (and now the cardboard case looks like crap - reselling it is going to be harder now; the Zaurus itself is in perfect nick however), but I got another bill today for AU$100 for 'GST' and 'goverment fees' - this Zaurus adventure is turning out to be rather expensive.

Happy with my Z, though; certainly better then previous Palm and Pocket PC PDA's I've owned.  Will be using it more though when I recieve the accessories/wireless card/etc from other places - it's taking forever to ship.  DHL shipping rocks.

I am another Australian user of SL-C860, and very happy with Pricejapan.com's service and price.

Next time I will probably try shipping via EMS instead of DHL, that may get rid of the extra bill.

How much was your bill?

I get the impression this will happen with any international shipping.
