3.5.1 backup and restore ??
« on: September 21, 2004, 12:25:58 am »
All,

The package looks great and seems to perform well. However backup and restore seem to be missing. Are they available somewhere? Is help needed to make them ready??

Thank you.

My packages install does not show a feed. It only shows installed packages.

Where is the feed?

Is it an error that package app does not show a feed?

Thanks,
Dan

I found the feed.

I have never set up package to pull from a feed. Is there a simple howto?

Are all the proxies, etc. correct and is it as simple as creating a name and adding the  url??

just add source and go

proxy is needed only if you have to use proxy to get to the web.

I tried to add the url while off line.

On 3.3.6pre1 the package tool created a feed dialogue box. It does not do so on 3.5.1. There is no feed dialogue box. If I were on line would that create the feed?

3.5.1 backup and restore ??

Hi!

I installed the "Backup and Restore" ipkg from the feed and restored the last backup i did on the OZ 3.3.5 before flashing.

But now every time in my Datebook is -2 hours!
I mean: when i had a date at 10:00 am before flashing, now it is 8:00 am!

I think it belongs to the Time-Zone. At the world-clock, every point of the world has the same time. Is this a bug?

How can i become my real time back in my Date book without changing every entry?
Thx!

Try syncing your clock via an external standard. Mine comes up GMT. The time code seems to be broken. If you are off by 2 hours I would guess your are 2 hours East of GMT.
