The GPE images are XFree based running matchbox window manager.

I mean to install XFree on antother VT, to have both QT and XFree.

Should be possible to install the xserver package and if both OPIE and Xfree are working right they should detect each other on the vt's and just work ™. I don't know how many vt's a OZ rom has though.

Its OZ, its theoretically possible give it a go :-) A reflash is only 5 mins!

flash opie-image, install "gpe-task-base" package, run opie (it will be on VT2), run gpe-dm (via "/etc/init.d/gpe-dm start") it will be on VT3

I tested it before. One problem - how to get it in 14MiB of collie / is left for you.

Just a note, gpe-image doesn't use XFree, it uses kdrive.

I tired installing task-gpe-base but got the following errors:

I'm trying agin now, with the -force-depnds option selected in aqpkg, to see if that works
