What wifi card?
« on: September 25, 2004, 12:19:27 pm »
Hi,

Having unsuccessfully tried everything listed on the forums to get an Origo wifi card working on my 860 with the latest Cacko ROM I want to know what wifi cards are you all using that will work with Cacko?

I'm after a card that can be plugged in and will work with a limited amount of setting up as my knowledge of fiddling with Linux is rather limited!

Cheers
Marc

I use the Ambicom WL1100C-CF.  It is a Prism2.5 card and should just work on any zaurus PDA.

I'm using Linksys WCF12.  It worked right out of the box.

Me too, I also recently got an 860 and I'm trying to use the Origo card (from Shirtpocket).

I'm having no joy and am also using the latest Cacko rom.

Any thoughts?

Is this message something to worry about?

do11req_reset: the macaddress and setdefaultmib arguments are currently unsupported.

Thanks.  Jag

:-)
I just changed my channel from 12 to 11 and it worked, looks like the card doesn't support > 11 channelid , or it's a setup somewhere on the Zaurus.

Now, I just need to get kismet working so I can find wifi hotspots..
