I was wondering if anyone has thought of doing a Gentoo sort of system for the C7xx or C8xx?

There is actually a project started on gentoo called \"Gentoo-Embedded.\"  Sorry, I am being lazy and will not lookup the site for you.  You can ask around in #Gentoo-Embedded on irc.freenode.net.

Let me also say this is a little harder to do as you probably want to compile your ROM on an actual PC as the Zs really don\'t have the power to trudge through all that source.  But I digress. I have seen wackier stuff done with PDAs before.  I know somebody built a cluster out of HP IPAQs before.

Maybe I\'m missing the point... how is this different from making a ROM... say, with OE?

the \"oemake -a\" etc... makes the ROM and the apps...?
