SD Switch
« on: October 05, 2004, 04:51:21 pm »
I am a new Zaurus(c860 w/ Cacko ROM) user and I have been using a 256mb SD card. I just ordered a 1 GB card to replace the 256mb card. When I get it can I transfer all of files on the old card to the new card or will I have to reinstall anything that was installed to the old card?

You will be able to transfer the files.

Make sure you format the new disk the same way (ext2 I assume), then when you transfer the files make sure you transfer them via an OS which supports the same set of permissions (e.g. Linux, not Windows) or create a tarball containing /mnt/card to save them.
