Okay, I got an 860 just now from DHL...I put the battery in the back, flipped the switch to lock the back cover, hit "On". A "Sharp" logo happens for what I assume is a boot, then another sharp logo (both with kanji characters), then a QT yellow and black logo with more kanji, and crosshairs that nmove around the screen. Seems like a calibration mode...What next? Nothing seems to work from here...

THANKS!

Heh. Hold the home key while tapping the crosshairs...(hit every key until something happens)...

Three choices:

Hard one: Learn Japanese.

Easy one: Flash new ROM ;-)

Boring one: Do the conversion of the existing ROM.
