Where to get older OZ images?
« on: October 09, 2004, 12:00:38 pm »
Where can I find a download site for the 3.2 version of OZ?  The stable link from the OpenZaurus site does not work.

I want to make sure I have everything I need before I go and buy a Zaurus (probably tomorrow).

Thanks,
Kent!

OZ3.2 was only released for the 5500/5000D. OZ3.5.1 is probably the most stable release for your 5600 (and is actually more stable than 3.2 on my 5500 too IMO).

FYI the older images are no longer supported and have been taken down (though if you ask I'm sure someone here will have a copy of whatever you want).

SL5500 OZ3.5.4 (Opie)

WinXP, Mandriva

It seems from all the posts, that 3.5.1 has many issues with running older software.  Can you comment on that for me?

Am I wise in going for the 5600 and just wait OZ out until more apps are available?

Oh, and while I'm at it, what are these "compat" libraries I hear about all over the place?

Thanks again,
Kent!

Looks like this is turning into a cross-post-nightmare.

Please help me continue this here:
