Probably a stupid question about OZ installation
«

I've decided to install the latest version of the OpenZaurus (3.5.1, I think). I went to the site and I downloaded the zImage.img and the updater.sh, but I don't seem to be able to find the initrd.bin (the root fs).
Is this normal? Should I proceed with the flashing even without the missing (?) file?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
You didn't state which model you are using so I will point you here:
http://openzaurus.org/official/unstable/3.5.1/
Then navigate to the appropriate sub directory for your device and read the readme file which will tell you which files to download and what to rename them to.
Hope this helps.

Hi
You're right, of course, I forgot to mention that I was using a 5600.
But my question remains: in the readme file the initrd.bin is mentioned, but its not available for download in that site. Can I proceed with the flashing without it?
Thanks

Specifically choose one of:
gpe-image.rootfs.img -> initrd.bin
or
opie-image.rootfs.img -> initrd.bin
or
bootstrap-image.rootfs.img -> initrd.bin
Opie is the 'standard' OZ GUI (like Qtopia), gpe is X11 with Matchbox.

Ahhhhhhhh, ok.
So the zImage file is the "zImage.bin.forPoodle"...
I guess i was confused by the ".img" extension in the file name.
Thanks guys!
