symlink or ldconfig
« on: October 17, 2004, 01:39:23 am »
I'm running OpenZaurus 3.5.1 on SL5500, cf card 128, sd card 128. i've installed the 64-0 and moved my /opt, /root, and /home to my sd card. My problem is this, I'll be installing the rest of my programs onto /mnt/card/system. When I symlink the libraries from /mnt/card/system/usr/lib to /usr/lib/ either using symlink by hand or ipkg-link they are gone after reboot. Now I thought maybe I could use /etc/ld.so.config to set up the libraries but that ending out pointless because after reboot they're gone again. Any suggestions? Im using the ipkg-link that was posted here:

Something to do with symlinks not being re-created after a umount (which happens when you suspend).

I think there was a fix for it, try this ipk here (perhaps?): http://www.openzaurus.org/official/unstabl...x-r6_collie.ipk

I'm not sure where I read the above, if this ipk doesn't work I'd take a look at the mailing lists.

My observation is cf and sd are different. My sd links seem to survive a suspend. They do not survive a reboot.
