Could you give more details:
* What is the error message?
* Have you tried installing previous versions?
* What is your OS version?
* Did you try to install it on CF/SD or in internal memory?

OS: stock sharp 1.12
previous version: 0.9.2-3_arm works perfectly
problem: the common problem of not showing up in the "install packages".

I'm new to linux. still learning how to use the shell ipkg command.

btw, Mod, this thread should be merged with the other Zbedic thread.

Using the console: "cd" to the directory, where zbedic_0.9.3-0_arm.ipk is located and:

> su
> /opt/QtPalmtop/bin/ipkg install zbedic_0.9.3-0_arm.ipk

If this fails, please send me (rafm at users.sourceforge.net) your zbedic_0.9.3-0_arm.ipk file and ipkg script (you can find it in /opt/QtPalmtop/bin/ipkg).

Can you add rotate to the ipk? I have a SL-C3000 but the Zbedic 0.9.3-1 doesn't rotate

Do you mean that zbedic should change layout orientation (horizontal / vertical) when the display of a Zaurus is flipped to the other side? Or the layout orientation does not change after you change it in the settings dialog?

I use a SL-C3000 so the program runs in the wrong orientation (-90 degrees) when I'm using the keyboard. Having the screen on it's side is not too cool and I haven't got a copy of Linux to start playing with source code yet.

If I want to edit programs for the Zaurus SL-C3000 what software will I need? Can I get everything for free or do I have to spend a bit?

Thanks.

Have a great Christmas!

Glen

I don't have SL-C3000, so I can not test it. Qtopia should handle rotation automatically.

Do you have also this problem with other applications, or only with zbedic? When you launch zbedic when in "keyboard" mode, is the oriantation correct or rotated 90 degrees? Then, when you switch to "stylus" mode, does the orientation change or remain the same?

Merry Christmas!

Yes, quite a few programs and games are rotated when I start them and they can't be rotated.

I think the programmers just miss the line of code needed to rotate the program.

Is it possible to change the search path for new dictionaries?

Nmos, just hit the search for new dictionaries button and the ZBEDic should find any dictionary you can use. I think everything is automatic and you don't need to change the search path. If the ZBEDic doesn't like the dictionaries you have the selection boxes will be in gray or a message will pop up.

I'm actually trying to limit the search path so it doesn't take as long to find the dictionaries and doesn't come up with so many false hits (lots of files under /mnt/card/debroot/proc etc.).

Use ZEditor
home/zaurus/Settings/zbedic.config

You can set

active-dictionaries =

Is that what you want?
