Flashing problems
« on: October 22, 2004, 04:00:29 am »
Hi guys, I thought that I would try out the new OZ 3.5.1 rom.

I dl'ed the files, named them updater.sh, initrd.bin, & zImage and loaded them on both 256 & 512 meg cards. Both cards have ample free space and are formatted FAT16 (stock factory format). Neither card has shown any errors in the past and have never failed to flash the Z before this.

I did the flash thingie and when it finished, I got a dialog box that says "A new storage media detected" and that's it.

I tried re-downloading the files, two different CF cards, and a few different permutations of the "zimage" (there seems to be some conflicts on how to name it)

What I tried was:

zimage
zImage
zimage.bin
zImage.bin

with no luck.

Thanks in advance for the help. Itching to try out 3.5.1

I never did find the issues page, but the hint to remove the cards did the trick.

Thanks!
