Opera 7 on oz 3.5.1
« on: October 22, 2004, 04:16:20 pm »
Hi I recently flashed to the oz rom and think it's really cool.

I got some of my old programs to work with the compat libs.  Now my goal is to
get opera 7 (preferably 7.55) to work, and it does... for a few minutes and then it
segfaults.  Its not a particular website or anything, I tried differant ones.  I was wondering if anyone had it working.  Any help would be appreciated.

btw     I had opera 6 and konqueror working but after using the new opera I
found I like it much better.

Is the search not finding this solution?

rm the (broken) symlink /usr/share/opera and do:
ln -s /mnt/card/opt/QtPalmtop/opera /usr/share/opera

I did that to make it start, but it segfaults a few minutes later as I mentioned above.

I've noticed Opera crashing on my 5500 on certain websites (actually just one that I've come across), but I have been able to goto google without it crashing.

So it stays up for several minutes, then just decides to die?
