USB 2.0 to VGA adapter
« on: November 01, 2004, 11:13:33 pm »
Anybody has experimented with the USB 2.0 to VGA adapter from Telegnosis and referenced in this thread?

This gizmo is sold rebranded by:Some details maybe gathered from the item five of this discussion.

It looks like a very viable alternative to the sloooow unusable CF VGA adapters which are suitable only for presentation if comments I read about it are true.

? Even if we had drivers for this device, then the original problems remains that the CF interface is too slow and that's why the CF-VGA card in the first place is slow. (please correct if wrong)

You are wrong (you asked me, no). I am talking about USB 2.0 to VGA not CF-VGA.

Hi dsavard. I understand that you are talking about USB - VGA converter. I am assuming you wish to connect this to your clamshell (oops seems you have a 6000, my mistake) and to do that you would need to go CF - USB - VGa... hence CF limitations.

Since though, you want to use the usb host (grrr, i want a usb host), this may prove viable although the host is usb1.1 and thus limited bandwidth?  Keeping in mind though, that there have been usb-tv cards over usb1...

The 6000l has a usb host adapter at the bottom of the unit, thus bypassing the need for a cf card.  I believe he means to use that instead.
