It would be a cool boasting feature...to have a wireless 'G' card, but I've never seen regular 'G' actually go anywhere near 54mbps. Well, ok, yeah, I've gotten my router and laptop to 'report' 54mbps, but it didn't really seem to be going that fast, and this was at ranges of under 30ft, and with a direct line of sight (ie circumstances where I could have used a cable and gotten 100 - 1000 mbps). I've seen it to be more like 22mbps top end in most indoor circumstances, ie with a wall or two in the way. True, that's twice what vanilla 'B' will get you, but as intimated by others, on a PDA/PMT it's probably not going to make too huge a difference...
Unless of course 'G' based cards are somehow inately more power efficient...anyone
