5600 just flashes the envelope LED all the time, and won't switch on.
If external power is connected, the envelope and charging LEDs flash together, and it still won't switch on.
LEDs flash regardless of whether the switch is set to "replace battery" or not.
Any ideas?
Background: This has happened a couple of times over the past few weeks, but has been curable
by removing the battery and replacing it. This time it won't come back. I've cleaned the battery contacts, and I've tried a spare PSU - still no joy.
If there's no way to get it to boot again, can anyone suggest a way I can get my contacts and calendar information back? I have a backup of the files on the Z, but I don't have the contacts/calendar info transferred to Outlook or Qtopia, so no way to read them.
